MRMC issues new visitation policy

Effective August 3, Mercy Regional Medical Center announces the following visitation policy.
Visitation hours for medical/surgery and ICU are from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. only. Visitation hours for inpatient rehab are from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. only.
There will be only one visitor per day (no swapping/rotating/substituting). There will be one visitor per patient in all areas except emergency room or emergency department. There will be no visitors in the emergency department (ED). One visitor will be allowed in the outpatient surgery rooms with appropriate personal protective equipment.
The one essential visitor/patient policy will be strictly enforced.
No visitors will be allowed for known or suspected COVID positive or ED, except pediatric patients, mentally’physically handicapped patients, or critically ill patient/end of life care.
Visitors are not allowed to change out during a visitation period, visitors must go through the hospital’s screening process each time they enter, visitors must wear a mask at all times while in the hospital, and visitors are asked to bring their own mask.
