Two residents of Mamou, Deandre Weston and Markentae Williams, are suspected in their alleged roles involving recent shootings in Opelousas.
Weston was arrested and booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on charges of first degree murder and armed robbery. Authorities are still searching for Williams. According to reports, the charges stem from a shooting that occurred early in the morning of Tuesday, February 23, on the 800 block of Patsy Street. One victim was shot in the back and taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Also arrested was Allie Zoe Roy in connection with this incident and a separate shooting on Pulford Street.
Weston was also charged in connection with the Pulford Street shooting.
