Vidrine native Erin Hoffpauir has been named as the new executive director of Evangeline Parish Chamber of Commerce and Evangeline Parish Tourism Commission to replace Renee Brown who accepted a position at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
“I am a passionate, driven individual who plans to give my all to Evangeline Parish,” Hoffpauir said in a statement. “I understand the needs and potentials of the communities of this heritage-rich area and look forward to putting my experiences, training, and education to use with the Evangeline Chamber of Commerce and the Evangeline Parish Tourism Commission.”
According to a press release from the Chamber’s board members, Hoffpauir “grew up on her family’s farm in Vidrine and has almost a decade of experience in multiple facets of retail management.”
The press release continued as follows, “Her experiences focus on business development, customer service and retention, and employee supervision.”
“With a heart for animals, Erin has worked directly with animal rescue organizations to raise funds for housing and care of displaced animals. She plans to put her fundraising skills to work in her new position in Evangeline Parish.”
