An Evangeline Parish Grand Jury has handed down an indictment on the charge of second-degree murder against a Ville Platte resident who has been accused of stabbing her husband to death.
The alleged stabbing involving Jasmine Gallow happened on June 15, 2019. Jaqueric Gallow was found the next day with a stab wound to his chest, Jasmine was named as the suspect. She was questioned and released while investigators tried to determine if the stabbing was in self defense, according to Ville Platte Police Chief Neal Lartigue.
Gallow’s arraignment is set for February 6 at 11 a.m. A bond hearing will also be held at that time.
The case is being prosecuted by the state attorney general office.
