Monetary donations are always welcome. Other items which are distributed to needy families include non-perishable items, dried potatoes and beans, powdered milk, soup, baby diapers and wipes, Jello, jelly, syrup, sugar, seasonings, mayonnaise, mustard, tomato sauce, coffee, coffee creamer, tea, Kool-Aid, breakfast foods, hot and cold boxed cereals, crackers, home paper products, toilet tissue, toilet articles, and shampoo. No homemade products will be accepted.
Fontenot invited the community to bring items to the Civic Center and St. Ann’s on Tuesday. He said those wishing to volunteer can come to the center on Tuesday. All items collected will remain in these communities.
