Fire District #2 sets public hearing for February on budget

After voting to propose a budget for the new fiscal year, the Evangeline Parish Fire District #2 Board voted Tuesday to call a public hearing on the matter. The hearing is set for Tuesday, February 11, at 5:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Road Fire Station. The board’s regular meeting will follow the public hearing at 6 p.m.
In other business, the board:
• discussed issues at each of the fire stations in the district.
• voted to get Internet at the Belaire Cove Fire Station.
• reappointed officers.
• and passed the compliance questionnaire for the auditors.
