The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. Arrested were the following persons:
• Michael James Hebert, 51, Mamou, was arrested on February 25, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for illegal use of CDS in presence of minor, illegal carrying of weapons, possession of drug paraphernalia, and Schedule II - prohibited acts. Hebert remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Christina Guillory Hartzfelds, 40, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 24, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for no seat belt, possession of CDS Schedule II, possession of CDS Schedule I, battery of a police officer, expired license plate, and security required (no insurance). Hartzfelds remains incarcerated on a $20,170.00 bond.
• Rebecca Lejeune, 25, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 24, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of CDS Schedule I, possession of CDS Schedule II, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lejeune was released on no bond.
• William Thomas King, 52, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 24, 2021, by Probation and Parole for sex offender- in person periodic renewal of registration by offender. King was released on no bond.
• Gerald P. Chapman, 55, Mamou, was arrested on February 24, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for two counts of theft and simple criminal damage to property. Chapman was released on a $3,000.00 bond.
