EPSO Arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. Arrested were the following persons:
• Noah Michael Taylor, 19, Oberlin, was arrested on January 30, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court. Taylor was released on no bond.
• David Lawrence Vincent, 39, DeQuincy, was arrested on January 30, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for two counts of failure to appear for court. Vincent was released on no bond.
• Tyrese Herbert, 22, Ville Platte, was arrested on January 29, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for battery of a dating partner, simple criminal damage to property, possession of CDS I with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting an officer. Herbert was released on a $20,000.00 bond.
• Rodricus Vandez Freeman, 37, Ville Platte, was arrested on January 30, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court. Freeman was released on a $500.00 bond.
• Tyrin Antwain Moment, 18, Ville Platte, was arrested on January 30, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for battery of a dating partner child endangerment law upon a pregnant partner. Moment was released on a $2,500.00 bond.
• Emily Renee Higdon, 25, Washington, was arrested on January 31, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court and resisting an officer. Higdon was released on no bond.
• Mica K. Duplichan, 41, Mamou, was arrested on February 2, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for driving under suspension, possession of CDS Schedule I, Schedule II - prohibited acts, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on roadway laned for traffic. Duplichan was released on no bond.
• Dexter O. Mayes, 34, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 1, 2021, by the Turkey Creek Police Department for possession of CDS Schedule I and violation of uniform CDS law in a drug free zone. Mayes was released on a $3,000.00 bond.
• Dwaine Freeman, 33, Mamou, was arrested on February 1, 2021, by the Mamou Police Department for obstructing public passages, driving under suspension, manufacture/distribution of CDS I, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm with CDS, and illegal use of currency CDS. Freeman was released on a $28,500.00 bond.
• Ronnie Grisby, 33, Farmerville, was arrested on February 1, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of CDS Schedule I. Grisby was released on a $1,000.00 bond.
• Kavianna Jamanique Anderson, 21, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 1, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of CDS Schedule I, Schedule II - prohibited acts, violation of uniform CDS law in a drug free zone, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Anderson was released on a $76,500.00 bond.
• Davis Arclis, 65, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 3, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of CDS II with intent to distribute, driver must be licensed, and license plate lights required. Arclis remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Lesly Gordon, 35, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 3, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for three counts of possession of CDS Schedule I, possession of CDS I with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS Schedule IV, and possession of CDS Schedule III. Gordon was released on a $48,500.00 bond.
• Brent John Frelich, 32, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 3, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for three counts of possession of CDS Schedule I, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS Schedule IV, and possession of CDS Schedule III. Frelich remains incarcerated on a $48,500.00 bond.
• Gage Michael Thibodeaux, 19, St. Landry, was arrested on February 2, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for two counts of possession of CDS Schedule I, possession of CDS I with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS Schedule IV, and possession of CDS Schedule III. Thibodeaux remains incarcerated on a $56,000.00 bond.
• Jennifer Caraway, 37, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 2, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of CDS Schedule II. Caraway was released on no bond.
• Merdia Jason Clark, 48, Pine Prairie, was arrested on February 2, 2021, by the Turkey Creek Police Department for possession of CDS Schedule I, Schedule II - Prohibited acts, violation of uniform CDS law in a drug free zone, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Clark was released on a $17,500.00 bond.
• Robert Dupre, 27, Pine Prairie, was arrested on February 2, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of CDS Schedule II. Dupre remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Alex Ja’Von Thibodeaux, 18, Mamou, was arrested on February 2, 2021, by the Mamou Police Department for criminal mischief and aggravated assault with a firearm. Thibodeaux remains incarcerated on a $50,000.00 bond.
• Isaac Thomas, 29, Lake Charles, was arrested on February 2, 2021, by the Mamou Police Department for turning movements and required signals, flight from an officer, resisting an officer, possession of CDS I with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal use of currency CDS, and violation of uniform CDS law in a drug free zone. Thomas was released on a $26,500.00 bond.
• Joshua Jones, 18, Opelousas, was arrested on February 2, 2021, by the Mamou Police Department for aggravated assault with a firearm. Jones remains incarcerated on a $50,000.00 bond.
• Daniel Paul Cook, 18, was arrested on February 2, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and criminal trespass. Cook remains incarcerated on a $65,000.00 bond.
• Bobby Earl Jack, 41, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 2, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court. Jack was released on a $1,250.00 bond.
• Chelsey Lynn Deshotels, 30, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 4, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of firearm by a felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm with CDS, and two counts of possession of CDS Schedule II. Deshotels was released on a $105,500.00 bond.
• Brian Keith Fontenot, 38, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 4, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of firearm by a felon, possession of CDS Schedule I, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of stolen things, possession of a firearm with CDS, failure to appear for court, and two counts of possession of CDS Schedule II. Thibodeaux remains incarcerated on a $56,000.00 bond.
• Edgor Villarruel, 35, was arrested on February 3, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for simple burglary. Villarruel remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Dion Freeman, 47, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 4, 2021, by Probation and Parole for probation or parole violation. Freeman remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Marvin Robert, 31, Eunice, was arrested on February 4, 2021, by the Ville Platte Police Department for battery of a police officer, resisting arrest, disturbing the peace by fistic encounter, and unauthorized use of motor vehicle. Robert remains incarcerated on a $41,500.00 bond.
• Alicia Breann Cole, 34, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 5, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court. Cole was released on no bond.
• Leofrey Fontenot, 36, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 5, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of CDS Schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia. Fontenot was released on a $35,000.00 bond.
• Ronald Coty Brown, 41, Ville Platte, was arrested on February 5, 2021, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for domestic abuse battery by strangulation. Brown remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Meghan Vanderika Rogers, 32, Branch, was arrested on February 6, 2021, by the Turkey Creek Police Department for two counts of possession of CDS Schedule I, violation of uniform CDS law in a drug free zone, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rogers was released on no bond.
• Kisa Dawn Lantz, 41, Elton, was arrested on February 7, 2021, by the Basile Police Department for stop lamps and turn signals required, switched license plates, driver must be licensed, security required (no insurance), possession of CDS I with intent to distribute, possession of CDS II with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm with CDS. Lantz was released on a $38,750.00 bond.
