Early voting continues

Here in Evangeline Parish, 1,077 voters cast their ballots as of Wednesday morning in early voting for the July 11 election. Early voting runs through Saturday, July 4, at the registrar of voter’s office in the courthouse from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Early voting will be held on July 3 and July 4.
Items on the ballot are presidential preference primary, Ville Platte Ward 1 city marshal, Democratic State Central Committee 41st District, as well as millage renewals in Ville Platte and Prairie Mamou Drainage District 8.
