In announcing her candidacy for Ville Platte City Marshal Ward One, Lisa Thomas Doucet is the widow of the late Ronald T Doucet. Lisa is the daughter of Dorothy Edwards Thomas and the late Elwood “Tower” Thomas of Ville Platte. Lisa has three sisters Angie Thomas, Mildred White and Robin Thomas, all residents of Ville Platte.
Lisa T Doucet has enjoyed and taken pride in working for her special needs sister for the past 12 years as her care giver.
Lisa has two daughters, Leah Lartigue and Lacey Thomas and is the proud grandmother of Landon Chase Lartigue, all of Ville Platte.
Lisa is a graduate of Ville Platte High school class of 1983. Lisa worked at the Louisiana State University Extension Service as a nutrition aide. Lisa showed the people of her community how to spend their food dollars wisely. Lisa’s Involvement with community service and the greater health of others was instilled at an early age for which she is forever grateful.
