Court Street shooting happens Wednesday

A shooting involving multiple shots fired occurred on Court Street in Ville Platte Wednesday night.
According to the incident report, the shooting took place at 8:50 p.m. at 720 Court St. where a victim was shot in the head.
Upon arrival, the officer located the victim who was conscious and able to communicate. He advised the officer he was shot on the right side of his head.
The victim was then transported by Acadian Ambulance to Lafayette General Hospital for treatment.
The matter was turned over to Chief of Police Neal Lartigue and to Detective Pat Hall.
