Pine Prairie Village Councilwoman Debbie Ogé has announced her withdrawal from the November election.
In her announcement, she said the following: “It is with a heavy heart that I, Debbie Ogé, have made my decision to withdraw from the council race in Pine Prairie set for November 2020.”
“I recently developed health issues that I feel prevent me from being able to serve the people in the community I love in a manner they so deserve.”
“I have also learned it is too late to withdraw from the election, therefore, my name will appear on the November ballot. However, I ask the voters of Pine Prairie to consider voting for other candidates as will be better equipped to handle the task of being a public servant.”
“To all those who have supported me through the years and continue to do so, I want to say thank you. It has been a true honor and pleasure to serve this community for the past 12 years. Each person in Pine Prairie holds a special place in my heart. I love you all and have thoroughly enjoyed being able to call myself your councilwoman for three consecutive terms.”
