I, Charles Perdices, am pleased to announce my candidacy for Chief of Police for the Town of Mamou.
I served 22 years of distinguished service with the United States Army in multiple positions culminating as an Airborne Infantry First Sergeant. During my career I served with the U.N. for the mission Uphold Democracy Haiti. I oversee current operations to support 21 nations to rebuild and restructure their country. I assisted in developing the Weapons Buyback Program to help eliminate weapons on the street and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police teaching military tactics to Haiti’s new Police Force. I also participated in investigating crime scenes. I have a total of seven years teaching in the military, which consisted of platform instructions to groups ranging anywhere from 30-150 students. I spent the last two years of my military career teaching the Art of Leadership and Military Tactics at the University of San Francisco to second and third year ROTC students. During this time, I also was a Security Officer for VIP’s and Special Events.
After retiring from the military, I became a Security Director for two years. I then went to Iraqi as a Military Advisory to train and rebuild the New Iraqi Army in Combat Operations. The last 14 years I have been in Health Care oversee multiple facilities labor and budget.
