Band of armed robbers is quickly captured

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, February 16, received a call of an armed robbery which occurred on Greenwood Road near Tiger Lane in the Mamou area.
Deputies learned that two males had come to purchase a four-wheeler. When the two males arrived at the location, they were met by four other males. While waiting for the exchange to occur, the four male subjects pulled out handguns and robbed the victims of their money. The victims then fled the scene in their truck and notified the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office of the incident.
Deputies were able to obtain a description of the suspects’ truck and located it at a residence on Jamie Street in Mamou. Deputies then took all four male suspects into custody without incident and also recovered four handguns which were used in the robbery along with the stolen U.S. currency.
While at the residence, deputies further noticed the odor of marijuana which appeared to be emanating from inside of the residence. Deputies applied for a search warrant and located illegal narcotics and a stolen handgun. This led to the following people being arrested and charged as follows.

Keon Alfay Lebleu

Mamou
B/M Age 19
He was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He also had an outstanding warrant.

Devontae Wilson
924 1st Street
Mamou
B/M Age 21
He was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault with a firearm, and illegal carry/ discharging of a weapon.

Jamie Adam Lebleu
1509 Jamie Street
Mamou
W/M Age 40
He was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of suboxone, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm in presence of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of CDS in presence of minor.

Noah Markell Gallow
127 Dogwood Street
Chataignier
B/M Age 19
He was charged with armed robbery.

Travous Alfred
1410 Hazel Street
Eunice
B/M Age 22
He was charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.
