Anthony announces bid for Ville Platte city marshal in April

Antoine Anthony, senior pastor of a local Baptist church, has announced his candidacy for Ville Platte City Marshal in the April 2020 election.
In his announcement, Antoine said the following:
“I, Reverend Antoine J. Anthony, am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy for city marshal of the City of Ville Platte and Ward 1 in the April 4, 2020, election.”
“My mother is Mary (Joseph) Anthony, and my father is Donald Anthony Sr. I currently serve as the senior pastor of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church of Ville Platte and am the state youth director for the Louisiana Progressive Baptist State Convention.”
“I am a 2016 graduate of Ville Platte High School where I served as the student body president and Mr. VPHS (2015-2016). I am a proud citizen and a life-long resident of Ville Platte.”
