Pageant
The 2018 Louisiana Tournoi Youth Pageant will be held Saturday, September 8, at the Ville Platte North Side Civic Center beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Entry fees are $45 per contestant in the children’s pageant. No at the door registration will be expected.
Awards include crown, monogrammed banner, and medal for queen/knight; medals for runners-up. Each child will receive a participation prize.
An official photographer will be on site. All winners must have their official picture taken after winners are announced. This year’s photographer is Deb’s Prints, and packages will be available for purchase.
Attire is Sunday best for children age 0-11 years. No pageant wear, excessive makeup, or “big hair” will be accepted. This is a natural beauty pageant.
Age is as of the date of the pageant. You may not move divisions. The divisions are as follows:
Tee Tiny Tournoi Queen and Knight: Ages 0-12 months, 9:00 a.m.
Tiny Tournoi Queen and Knight: Ages 13-23 months, 9:15 a.m.
Toddler Tournoi Queen: Ages 2-3 years, 9:30 a.m.
Tiny Tournoi Queen: Ages 4-5 years, 9:45 a.m.
Little Tournoi Queen: Ages 6-8 years, 10:15 a.m.
Deb Tournoi Queen: Ages 9-11 years, 10:30 a.m.
Jr. Teen Tournoi Queen: Ages 12-13 years, 11:15 a.m.
Admission is $10 per person for those 10 years and older and $2 for those under age 10.

Queen Pageant
The 2018 Louisiana Tournoi Queen and Teen Queen’s Pageant will be held Saturday, September 8, at the Ville Platte North Side Civic Center at 6:00 p.m.
Divisions are as follows (age by date of pageant):
Teen Tournoi Queen: Ages 14-16 years.
Louisiana Tournoi Queen: Ages 17-23 years (must not be older than 23 years of age on January 1, 2019).
A contestant participating in the La. Tournoi Pageants must be single, must never have been married, and must never have been pregnant nor have given birth to a child. You must be of good moral character and have never been convicted of a felony. You may not hold any other festival title during your Tournoi reign. Queens will be required to sign a “Queen’s Agreement” the night of the competition which is a binding contract.
Entry fees are $75 per contestant.
Awards for the La. Tournoi Queen include a custom crown, scepter, banner, flowers, mantle, T-shirt, entry into 2019 LAFF Queen of Queens Pageant, and a scholarship upon reign completion (if duties are fulfilled). New this year is the bringing back of the Princess of Tournoi- 1st runner-up, Lady of Tournoi- 2nd runner-up, and Duchess of Tournoi- 3rd runner-up. (Runners-up - non binding). The Teen Tournoi Queen will receive a custom crown, banner, flowers, and T-shirt. First and second runners-up will be selected in both categories.

New this year is an opening number. Each contestant will dress as a warrior and make a shield that displays one of the enemies of cotton. (Something fun that is not judged.)
The competition consists of the following segments: Interview at 1:00 p.m.- Interview is worth 60 percent of the score. All divisions will have five minute interviews. New attire for the interview is jeans and a stylish top; Evening Gown- Evening gown is worth 40 percent of score. Attire is formal wear.
Admission is $10 per person for adults and $2 for ages 10 and under.
