Special Education Director Kelli LaFleur told the Evangeline Parish School Board a Special Olympics team is returning to the parish for the upcoming school year.
“We decided to start very small and stay in parish,” LaFleur said during the meeting held Wednesday, June 16.
The Special Olympics will start out with bowling in the fall, cornhole in the winter, and track and field in the spring.
