VVA #632
The Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 632 of Ville Platte will have its monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 6, at 7 p.m. at the Veterans Home in Ville Platte. A supper will follow the meeting. For more information, call President J.D. Soileau at 363-2542.

Food for Families/ Food for Seniors
The Evangeline Community Action Agency Inc. and Food for Families/Food for Seniors will be distributing the food boxes via drive-thru at the Ville Platte Civic Center today, July 1, from 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Alumni Softball Tournament
The Sacred Heart Booster Club announces its 20th Annual Alumni Softball Tournament to be held August 6-7 at the Ville Platte/Evangeline Parish Recreational Complex.
A sign up meeting will be held at the Sacred Heart Commons on Wednesday, July 21, at 6 p.m.
Volunteers are needed for the ticket booth, concession stand, and umpires. All volunteers will have school service hours awarded.
Anyone who attended Sacred Heart regardless of graduation and their spouses are eligible to play.

Sadie Strong Hamburger Benefit Sale
A benefit BBQ hamburger sale for Sadie Soileau, daughter of Jill and Nasen Soileau, will be held on July 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
All proceeds will go to the Soileau family to help offset expenses associated with Sadie’s multiple surgeries and extended hospital stay.
All orders will consist of a hamburger, side of BBQ sauce, and chips.
Pick up will be at Evangeline Parish Farm Bureau at 2113 W. Main St.
Orders are $10, and there is a minimum of 10 orders for delivery. Make checks payable to Sadie Strong.
Sadie Strong bracelets can also be purchased for an extra $5.
