At the Tuesday, August 10, meeting of the Ville Platte City Council, Mayor Jennifer Vidrine said she and other council members have seen social media comments about the city not cleaning the cemetery, but she said the city has been cleaning it. The workers were not able to get in there to clean for a while because it was too wet, but since it has dried up, it has been cleaned again.
