Years ago, Ville Platte was a destination with its many shops, restaurants, night clubs, and movie theaters. Over the years, however, the hustle and bustle around town ceased as the town became more of a place people passed through on their way to bigger cities like Alexandria and Lafayette. After the interstate was built, people then had no reason to even pass through Ville Platte. The mentality…
