Ville Platte officers investigate a recent shooting on Chataignier St.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, February 17, 2019, at approximately 12:45 a.m., officers with the Ville Platte Police Department responded to a shooting at a business on South Chataignier Street. Upon arrival Officers learned that an altercation led to shots being fired and one person injured in the leg. The investigation is ongoing and no names will be released at this time.
