Ville Platte’s city council, during a special meeting Tuesday, voted to adjust certain line items of the city’s budget while not making any net changes to the fund balance.
At a recent meeting of the Evangeline Parish School Board, the school calendar for 2019-2020 was approved. The following is the calendar which includes 182 instructional days:
A bomb threat Thursday morning forced all individuals inside the Evangeline Parish Courthouse to evacuate the building located on Court Street in Ville Platte.

Davonte M. Ardoin appeared before Judge Chuck West Monday for a 72 hour hearing. Ardoin’s arraignment was set for May in Judge Gary Ortego’s courtroom.
