The Mamou Rotary Club honored two Mamou High School graduates at recent graduation ceremonies.
Scholarships totaling $2,000 were awarded to one girl and one boy who graduated from Mamou High in 2018.
Recipients honored were Kirstyn Rider, who is the daughter of Jacob and Ashley Rider, and Dylan West, who is the son of Shawn and Reva West. Each recipient received $1,000, which was presented to them by Mamou Rotary President Wendy Perkins.
Rider will be enrolling at McNeese in Lake Charles, and will be majoring in Nursing.
West will be enrolling at Louisiana Tech in Ruston this fall, and majoring in Kinesiology.
The Mamou Rotary Club has been awarding these two scholarships for the last fifty seven years to help graduates with their first semester of college.
