Friday will be cold and dry. Saturday will be the warmest day in the next week, with highs in the 50s.
A cold front will move through our region late Saturday into Sunday, bringing patchy light rain. There is a very small chance for freezing rain or icy elevated roads and bridges late Sunday into Monday, when temperatures fall below freezing.
Low temperatures next week will be in the teens to the mid 20s. Expect hard freeze conditions each night. Take actions to protect outdoor animals, pets, plants, and exposed pipes. Be careful with space heaters indoors during this cold weather.
Tides will run below normal Sunday into Monday, and a low water advisory will likely be necessary for the Sabine-Neches and Calcasieu waterways.
