MPD arrests two during drug bust

A recent drug bust by the Mamou Police Department has resulted in the arrest of two individuals. Those arrested have been identified as Boyd Mills and Paul Thibodeaux.
According to Mamou Chief of Police Brent Zackery, the arrests were a result of his department receiving tips of drug activity taking place at a residence in the Town of Mamou.
After receiving tips, the MPD began to watch the residence until suspicious activities started to transpire.
When drug activity took place, the MPD arrived at the residence and arrested Mills, of 410 Maple Street, Mamou, and Thibodeaux, of 1530 St. Julien Street, Eunice.
When the chief attempted to detain one of the subjects he noticed that the subject had something stuffed in his pants, which led the chief to request that the items be removed. When the items the suspect took out of his pants were revealed it ended up being several pairs of women’s underwear and bras. Who the items belonged to is unknown.
Mills was booked into the town jail for distribution of a schedule II controlled dangerous substance, possession of a schedule II controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Thibodeaux was arrested for possession of a schedule II controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The following are other individuals recently arrested by the MPD:
Robert Contreras, 608 8th St., Mamou, was arrested for first degree rape where the victim is under the age of 13.
Wilfred Watson, 2157 L’anse de Cavailer Rd., Ville Platte, was arrested for domestic abuse battery.
Marcus Arvie, 617 Dr. Carver St., Ville Platte, was arrested for three counts of aggravated flight and 11 counts of disobeying stop signs.
Leslie Malveaux, 1317 Opelousas Rd., Ville Platte, was arrested for unauthorized use of a debit card.
