An 18-year-old Mamou native, Seth R. Bordelon, has been arrested and charged in Calcasieu Parish for his alleged role in criminal activity at Barbe High School in Lake Charles.
Bordelon, along with two additional suspects, were taken into custody after allegedly breaking into the school on July 22, spray painting walls, and causing damage to desks and a Promethean Board. The damages are in the ballpark of $6,000.
The damages inside the school followed damages at the high school’s baseball field where an iPhone was stolen.
Also arrested and charged in the incident is Thomas D. Berzas, 21 of Elton, along with Mitchell M. Hughes, 21 of Lake Charles. A 17-year-old juvenile from Lake Charles was also taken into custody. A fourth suspect, Thomas D. Berzas, 20 of Elton, is still wanted by law enforcement officials.
Bordelon was released from the Calcasieu Correctional Center on a $10,000 bond.
