The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office has located two individuals wanted for theft and criminal trespassing.
The two fugitives have been identified as Ashley R. Yielding and Jessica H. Wiles, both of Pine Prairie.
According to a release from the EPSO, “were residing in Pine Prairie at 1307 Oak Street prior to the incident that occurred on Sunday, July 8, 2018.”
The release states that the individuals became wanted on July 11, 2018 after “EPSO deputies were dispatched to 1307 Oak Street for a theft,” and then “deputies learned upon arrival that a deputy had located stolen items at the address listed above.”
The release also stated that “the stolen items had been loaded onto a trailer which was parked on the property.”
According to authorities, “a deputy was able to make contact briefly with Yielding before he was able to elude (escape) him.”
The EPSO has valued the recovered stolen items at over $8,000, which was later returned to the owner, S2 Energy.
Following the incident, “detectives authored warrants of arrest on both Ashley Yielding and Jessica Wiles for two counts of theft and two counts of criminal trespassing.”
Both warrants have been signed by 13th Judicial District Judge Gary Ortego, who set the fugitives’ bonds at $25,000 each.
By late Friday afternoon, Yielding and Wiles had been captured.
In a release from the EPSO, it thanked the Vermillion Parish Sheriff’s Office and the public for assisting in the capture of the two fugitives.
