Plans are presently being finalized for our 34th Annual Boggy Bayou Festival, which is set for Thursday through Saturday, April 5-7.
There is still time to reserve vendor booths. You may do so by contacting Christy Ortego at Prairie Manor Nursing Home at 337-599-2031 during the day.
Our goal for this year’s festival is to purchase transport chairs and mechanical lifts that will be much safer for both residents and staff who handle them.
Boggy Bayou Festival, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to raise funds for Prairie Manor Nursing Home, located in the northern portion of Evangeline Parish in Pine Prairie.
Over the years, Boggy Bayou Festival has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to do many wonderful things for our residents like build a non-denominational chapel, purchase handicap vans, purchase beds, and equipment, all used to better care for our residents.
Prairie Manor Nursing Home Board of Directors and the administrative staff recognizes how hard these volunteers work to make this festival possible, Countless hours of time goes in to putting on such an event. The success of this festival is due to the many volunteers and the community coming together to support the cause. This was a dream of the late Jim Conway and the late Father Leslie Prescott that we must keep going.
I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the board does for our residents.
With your continued support and the untiring dedication of the board, this festival will continue to provide the extras for our residents.
So, make plans now to attend the 34th Annual Boggy Bayou Festival and remember the reason you are supporting this great cause. God bless you.
