Arrest made in connection with stolen washing machine

An arrest was made Monday in the Village of Chataignier that was related to a stolen washing machine.
Officer Kalinsky Ardoin, who responded to the incident and made the arrest, stated that the suspect had previously “moved out of the residence.” Ardoin added that the suspect “went back and took a washing machine.”
“Not only that,” Ardoin continued, “he went into the house without permission.”
As a result of the incident, Lawrence Stagg was booked into the Evangeline Parish Jail on charges of entering an inhabited dwelling, criminal trespass, and theft of a washing machine. As of Tuesday morning, Stagg was still awaiting bond.
