Arrest is made in Turkey Creek sexual battery

On September 21, 2022, Deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s responded to the 1000 Blk. of Hickory St. near the Village of Turkey Creek, in reference to a complaint of a possible sexual assault. During the initial investigation, responding deputies received information stating Scott Calvin Aucoin (w/m, age 50), was having inappropriate sexual contact with an underage female relative who resides at the residence. Further information obtained by detectives with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Heart’s of Hope Opelousas field office led investigators to obtain warrants for Aucoin’s arrest charging him with one count of Sexual Battery in violation of La.R.S. 14:43.1, and one count of Molestation of a Juvenile in violation of 14:81.2.
