Acadia Parish- The Eunice Police Department requested Troopers to investigate an officer-involved shooting on James Place near Perchville Road in Acadia Parish.
Christopher Tezeno, the other prisoner who escaped from the Ville Platte city jail on Saturday, May 13, has been apprehended today, May 19, Chief Al Perry Thomas confirmed.

An investigation by the Mamou Police Department lead to the arrest of Jaziah Skinner, 15, of VillePlatte
Two individuals, identified as Christopher Tezeno and Anthony Tezeno, have escaped from the Ville Platte City Jail and are being sought by police officers, according to Chief Al Perry Thomas.
Ville Platte Chief of Police Al Perry Thomas has confirmed a young Black male was shot at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Friday, May 12, near the intersection of Coreil Street and Magnolia Street.
On February 11, just after midnight, the Mamou Police Department received a call about shots being fired outside of the Stomping Ground bar.
