Flag raising is held at Heritage Manor

A tattered and torn United States Flag flew over Heritage Manor in Ville Platte while the residents and staff were isolated inside because of COVID-19. As a result, Mable Foreman got with Ricky Sonnier and Woodmen of the World/Woodmen Life to donate a new Flag. The Flag was raised over the facility on Monday, September 21, with many honored guests in attendance. Among those were Evangeline Parish Sheriff Deputies, Ville Platte Firefighters and Policemen, and members of the local Vietnam Veterans of America chapter. In the top photo. Administrator Trey Prudhomme, J.D. Soileau, and EPSO Chief Deputy Scott Fontenot raise the Flag. In the left photo is a balloon release. (Gazette photos by Tony Marks)
