The 2015 Evangeline 4-H Sew-With-Cotton and Spring Clothing Style Show and Awards Ceremony sponsored by the Evangeline Parish Volunteers for Family and Community and the Ville Platte Super Wal-Mart was held Thursday, February 26, at 6 p.m.

The Ville Platte Volunteer Fire Department held its Annual Awards Night in February. The awards night is something held yearly to honor the top volunteer and paid firefighters. Awards were given to the top 10 volunteer firefighters with the most calls for 2014 and to the top paid firefighter with the most off-duty calls for 2014.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Funeral services were held for Beryl Joy Israel Cunningham, 87, of San Antonio, Texas, at St. David’s Episcopal Church in San Antonio at 10 a.m., Friday, February 20. Inurnment followed at the Sunset Memorial Park.
