On Tuesday, August 5, Troupe d’Evangeline hosted its latest performance at the Northside Civic Center. The performance of “The Princess and the Pea,” directed by Travis Fontenot, featured a wonderful cast and the crowd enjoyed the performance. In the first photo, the cast is shown.

Norma Catoire Vidrine grew this 14.5-inch cucumber in her small garden at her home in Tate Cove. It’s the largest cucumber she has ever grown. She also grows peppers in her home garden.

Funeral services will be held for Annie Bell Lafleur Pitre, 73, of Ville Platte, at Ninth Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 6 p.m., Friday, August 15. Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 16, in the church cemetery.
